If there’s one thing Seby and I love about a gay cruise, it’s the partylike atmosphere onboard. Though at times, we look for something a bit simpler. More composed. And the Dreams of Tahiti gay cruise delivers that quiet fantasy.
It’s set onboard the Windstar, a four-masted sailing yacht, with just 135 guests. And for such a small space, it packs in so much. There is a library, outdoor swimming pool, jacuzzi, fitness centre, and lounge area. There's also night-time entertainment, social mixers, and afternoon tea – all perfect for mingling with guests and making friends.
When you do feel like being alone, all the rooms have their own minibar and flat screen TV, so you can enjoy a party for one… or two!
One of the highlights of the trip is Moorea island – famous for its volcanoes, blue lagoons, and pearly white sands. Get yourself a pareau shirt in the Le Marche market to truly feel the island fantasy, before heading on down to the food trucks in Vai’ete Square and enjoying some seafood.
Two days are devoted to Bora Bora, where you’ll experience nothing but epic beaches, delicious food, marvellous scenery, and a Fire Dance spectacle. This is also where you'll be during the full moon that the cruise is named for, so don't be surprised if the moon affects you and the other guests in strange ways…
